Lakeside Energy Limited, a 50MW wind power project located in Jhimpir Wind Corridor in the province of Sindh, Pakistan consists of 345 acres of land. Construction of the project commenced on 15 July 2020. Whereas, commercial operation started on 14 April 2022. Project is developed as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) under cost-plus tariff regime awarded by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA). Project has entered into an Energy Purchase Agreement for a term of 25 years to sell all of its generated green energy to Central Power Purchasing Agency (Guarantee) Limited

read moreProject has installed 25 Siemens-Gamesa G114-2.0 wind turbine generators (WTG) with hub height of 93 meters and a rotor-diameter of 114 meters. An air insulated switchgear step-up substation (33/132 kV) is built to transmit electrical power to national grid. The construction (onshore) contract was awarded to HydroChina International Engineering Company Limited Pakistan however, the supply (offshore) contract was awarded to Hangzhou Huachen Electric Power Control Company Limited.     Empowerment

    Lakeside has provided skill development training to the Female members of the local community by engaging a renowned institution Keystone Solutions (Pvt.) limited. Lakeside has also constructed a Community Vocational Center (CVC) with the collaboration of EPC Contractor with the objective to provide an equipped place for local communities so that they could utilize it for various purposes such:

    • Arranging vocational training for women that could help them in their employability.
    • Running customized informal and accelerated education programs.
    • Organizing social gatherings, especially for women to meet and socialize with each other.

    The CVC is fully functional with all necessary provisions including furniture, solar power, fans etc.

    Health & Hygiene

    Lakeside Energy Limited very actively organizes medical and hygiene checkup camps in its locale. These camps provide free medical checkups and also supply prescribed medicines to the underprivileged residents of community.
